Thailand: Scientists Rush to Regrow Dying Coral Reefs

Scientists in Thailand are working on a coral breeding project aimed at preventing further deterioration of dying reefs along the country’s coast. The project, launched in 2016 by Thailand’s government, has restored over 4,000 coral colonies near Mun Nai Island. However, experts say that there is a need for broader policies to combat coral bleaching, which threatens marine life and ecosystems worldwide.
