Thailand is set to become the first in Southeast Asia to recognise same-sex marriage. Parliament’s lower house has approved a marriage equality bill with an overwhelming majority. Mookdapa Yangyuen Pradorn is a human rights associate at Fortify Rights and an advisor to the parliamentary committee to the marriage equality bill. She tells The World’s Yvonne Yong the bill had widespread public and political support.
